Dr Hill graduated from Auburn University in 1993 and UAB School of Medicine in 1999.  He completed both his General Surgical Internship as well as his Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery Residency at The University of Texas at San Antonio (1999-2004). Dr Hill is a Diplomate of The American Academy of Otolaryngology and has been Board Certified since 2005. 

Otolaryngology is a vast field involving a wide variety of medical and surgical problems.
As a result, Dr Hill specializies in a multitude of problems involving the ears, nose, and throat including:

Dr Frankel graduated from Lehman College in 1977 and from New York Medical College in 1981.  He completed his training in Otolaryngology at Tripler Army Medical Center in 1986. After residency he worked as an Army Otolaryngologist.

Dr Frankel has been in Private practice in North Alabama for over 25 years and is Board Certified in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.

Dr. Tate Maddox is a native of Marietta, GA where he lived until the age of eight when the family moved to Buies Creek, NC where he resided until college. He is a 2000 graduate of Wake Forest University and a 2006 graduate of the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency, and met his future bride, at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire.

Dr Maddox is Board Certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (2013) and a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (2017). He and his wife, Abby, have two young girls (Julia and Kayla). Tate enjoys time with his family, golf, travel, and watching and attending college sporting events.

Sheri Korby is a native of Huntsville Alabama, graduating from Butler High School in 1979. She obtained her undergraduate degree in teaching the hearing impaired in 1983 and went on to get her Masters degree in Audiology in 1985 from the University of Montevallo. She completed her Clinical Fellowship Year in Gadsden AL at the Northeast AL Audiology Clinic prior to moving to Athens in 1986 to work with Dr. Steve Smith. Sheri has been in Athens since that time and is employed with Valley ENT, doing hearing business as Athens Hearing Diag Center since 1989. Sheri’s goal is to improve the lives of people with hearing loss through better hearing and is proud to have been entrusted with the hearing needs of Athens for over 30 years.

Katie White is a native of Florence, AL. She graduated from Freed Hardeman University in 2013 with a degree in Biology. She obtained her Masterâ s of Science in Medicine from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2016. Katie practiced in otolaryngology in Nashville, TN for 2 years before returning to Alabama and began working for Valley ENT. She is married to Conner White and they have a dog named Charlee.
