Biologic Therapy
For patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps that hasn't responded to surgery or other treatment, biologic therapy offers a different approach: treating the underlying inflammation itself. Some cases of chronic sinus disease are driven by persistent inflammation that may not respond adequately to other treatment or surgery alone.
Biologic therapies such as Dupixent and Tezspire work within the immune system to target specific sources of inflammation, helping eligible patients achieve better long-term control of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps. Dupixent and Tezspire are injectable biologic medications approved for chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps. Rather than removing polyps surgically, these medications target the specific inflammatory pathways that cause polyps to form and symptoms to persist.

Biologic therapies are prescription medications administered by injection on a scheduled basis. Dupixent and Tezspire block different signals within the immune system that contribute to ongoing airway inflammation.
