Laser Skin Resurfacing
Laser skin resurfacing is a proven treatment that helps turn back the clock on sun damage, fine lines, and uneven texture. At Valley ENT, our facial plastics team uses advanced fractional laser technology to deliver thousands of microscopic treatment columns to the skin — targeting a fraction of tissue at a time while leaving surrounding areas intact to speed healing.
This targeted approach removes damaged surface cells and stimulates your body’s natural collagen production from within, gradually replacing tired, weathered skin with a smoother, more even, more youthful complexion.
Who Is Laser Skin Resurfacing For?
This treatment is well-suited for most skin types and a wide range of concerns, including:
-Fine lines and wrinkles
-Sun damage and age spots
-Acne scars and other surface scarring
-Uneven skin tone and texture
-Enlarged pores
Laser resurfacing can be used on the face as well as more delicate areas like the neck, chest, and hands. Because every patient’s skin and goals are different, our providers will evaluate your skin type and history during a consultation to recommend the right laser settings and treatment intensity for you.
Preparing for Treatment
Before your session, a topical numbing cream may be applied to minimize discomfort, and you’ll be given protective eyewear. Most treatment sessions take approximately 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated and how aggressive the resurfacing needs to be to meet your goals.
Some results are visible right away, but the most noticeable improvement develops over the following weeks as your skin heals and rebuilds new, healthy tissue. Afterward, you can expect some redness, swelling, or a sunburn-like sensation — a normal sign that your skin’s natural healing process is underway. Recovery time varies: lighter treatments may allow you to resume normal activities within hours, while more intensive treatments may require several days of downtime. To protect your results, we recommend:
-Wearing SPF 30+ sunscreen daily
-Avoiding direct sun exposure for at least three months post-treatment
-Wearing a wide-brimmed hat when outdoors
